| Two weeks ago, Myron took me to Kings Dominion again. It was almost as much fun as the first time. The difference? The heat. It made waiting in lines that much worse. The rides were still a blast though, and in the afternoon, to get away from the heat, we went to see "The School of Rock" live in concert. It was loud, but the air conditioned comfort made it worth it to have our ear drums busted.
The next day we headed down to th e Outer Banks for the rest of the weekend. The weather was perfect for splashing in the waves, being lazy, and of course combing various beach stores for anything with OBX on it.
I can't wait for this weekend. I have this one off! It's a good thing too, cause the fair's this week. Me and Myron decided to only go one night (lazy us) and we picked Saturday, for the tractor pull - the night that everybody's there. Of course that also happens to be the same night that my Uncle's having his annual Chicken BBQ, which I missed last year. Man it'll be hard to get up in time for church in the morning...
| Thanks for the comments! I'll have to try that out on your sites sometime too.
Well the past two weeks have been pretty busy. Last weekend Myron took me to see the Bridgewater Fireman's Parade. I'd actually never seen a parade before, and I don't think I'll be jumping up and down to see one again anytime soon. Ok it wasn't that bad, but I probably could've found something better to do. Afterwards we went to that lawn party. There were bugs all over the place: on my clothes and in my hair... Then this weekend we drove all the way up to Fulks Run for theirs. That one was even worse. It'd rained 5 inches in the past two days(something we didn't know until we got there), and the ground was nothing but one big mudhole! I think next year I'll be planning on what movie I want to go see instead of which pair of white shoes to wear to the lawn party.
I got a new pet. Myron found it for me. Just the kind I like, you know, the one's you don't have to touch. I never though I'd say this, but I have the cutest toad. He's so funny to watch. All you have to do is tap on the edge of the aquarium he's in, and he'll put his head down; rear up, and sort of puff himself up.

| Hey everybody, I finally decided to have Sally help me set up one of these sites, so that I can get back in touch with all those friends I used to have, but rarely had time to get in touch with. And of course so that my typing skills won't be completely buried and forgotten.
Well, for the past year I've been living in Weyers Cave a small town about 8 miles away from my job and parents. I have a little 2 bedroom apt., the spare room being devoted to my scrapbooking and everything else I can't find a place for. I love being on my own! It takes work, but ahhh.... the freedom of coming home, and being able to do whatever you want. The sad part of it is that instead of going out every evening and staying up late, I usually end up cleaning up the place and being in bed by 10pm.
In March I found a new job. Working as a cook at an assisted living home. There are about 30 residents there, so it's pretty easy; much slower paced than what I was used to before at the Cafe, and most of the time I'm in the kitchen by myself.
The rest of my time is spent with Myron. Watching movies; playing Mortal Kombat; the occasional pool game over at his place(I'm terrible at it); and hanging out with friends in general.
